Far North: Two 'Intro to FASD' courses – Rawene

You're warmly invited to attend one of TWO free, 5-week programmes to learn about Te Iho Tātai-a-Rongo / Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) in the Far North – Rawene. Come along to connect, learn, and share your experiences in a safe, non-judgmental space.

There'll be some opportunities for specific one-to-one sessions.

These wānanga aim to create supportive, FASD-informed communities by providing education, raise awareness, and promote understanding of FASD. They will include a mātauranga Māori perspective on brain development using te Whare O Oro and its relevant tools and strategies.

The courses are a collaboration between Hauora Hokianga and FASD-CAN, and will be facilitated by Fran Hauraki of Hauora Hokianga and RuruHana Brownie, Te Tai Tokerau Navigator from FASD-CAN.
