FASD-CAN is pleased to be joining Alcohol Healthwatch (hosts), the University of Auckland, Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora and others to bring an FASD symposium together in September 2024.
September is FASD awareness month and we are aiming to capitalise on the energy in the sector since the Minister of Health, Hon Dr Shane Reti’s announcement in April that outlined actions on FASD.

This conference aims to:
• Educate and inform caregivers and whānau, as well as educators, healthcare and support professionals
• Bring together an audience of researchers, policy advisors, decision makers and health leaders working in FASD
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing in the latest research and practice in FASD
• Facilitate meaningful relationships towards the collective goal of taking action on FASD in Aotearoa New Zealand.
