Our Life with FASD (LWF) training is a free, two-day wananga / training course for parents, caregivers, grandparents or whānau who are caring for someone who has, or may have, FASD (diagnosis not required). Nau mai, haere mai – all are welcome!
Please note: this training is NOT for professionals working with those impacted by FASD.
FASD-CAN is pleased to be working in association with Tautoko Aroha / Support with Compassion, a social service in Ahuriri / Napier which supports foster caregivers, and Te Kupenga Hauora - Ahuriri, a charitable trust based in Napier that provides health and social services to Hawke’s Bay and the wider community. We are grateful to them both for supporting this important training in their region, and particularly TKH for providing the venue and kai!

• Been equipped in knowledge of successful approaches and strategies that can be used in life with FASD.
• Become aware of helpful and successful strategies and approaches to apply to their own unique family environment, as well as to the systems impacting them, such as health, welfare, education and justice.
• Fostered peer-support relationships with others who share the lived experience of FASD.
