Pat Newman, head of the Te Tai Tokerau Principals Association, has been outspoken about FASD in a Stuff article by Katie Doyle on Saturday August 13. 

Newman suspects the disorder is widespread in Northland and is calling on the Government to dig into its pockets and help schools and students affected by FASD. He says if the Government would fund $50,000 a year for each kid... "by God we’ll make some changes”.
