Research grant for FASD

FASD-CAN Inc was pleased to hear that the University of Auckland has received a Health Research Council Activation grant to investigate services and programmes available in Aotearoa for FASD.

The work will be led by Dr Jessica McCormack. FASD-CAN is a partner organisation to the grant, to assist with information gathering and to ensure relevance of the outcomes to our community.

The proposed research will help to identify gaps in health delivery for individuals and families with FASD. It will provide a guide for future research applications using the evidence of gaps in knowledge and services to inform evidence-based health delivery activities, such as programme development, addressing training needs, and collaboration with health delivery organisations.
