In early May, Auckland's original student radio station hosted a fantastic interview with FASD-CAN.
bFM's News and Editorial Director, Jessica Hopkins, spoke to FASD-CAN Chair Leigh Henderson, Clinical Neuropsychologist and Director of the FASD Centre Aotearoa Dr Valerie McGinn and FASD-CAN youth leader Bryon (who has FASD).
She also interviewed Aaron Hendry, youth worker and leader of Kick Back Make Change, a non-profit organisation serving rangatahi experiencing homelessness.
They discussed the pros and cons of diagnosis, recent government announcements around FASD, the need for disability support services (DSS) for those with FASD, and the welfare system.
