Carers Survey – IHC and Carers NZ collaboration

Carers New Zealand in conjunction with IHC have commissioned a piece of research to better understand how carers, support workers, and organisations find and use information when caring for someone they love or support.

They say:

"So much has changed in recent years – with COVID-19, more digital tools, and new ways of finding and trusting information. We want to make sure we’re keeping up and offering the right kind of support.

To help with this, we’re talking to people like you about your experience. We’d love to hear how you look for information, what helps, what doesn’t, and what’s been useful along the way.

We want to interview a range of people, of different ages, gender, and location around Aotearoa New Zealand, including people who are caring for someone with a disability from early childhood.

The session will be conversational in nature, done online through Zoom. It’ll take about 60-90 minutes. You don’t need to prepare anything, and you don’t have to answer any questions you don’t feel comfortable with.

There are no right or wrong answers. We’re just really interested in hearing your honest thoughts and experiences.

To say thank you, we’ll offer a small koha for your time.

You’ll need a laptop or desktop with internet and Zoom with your camera and microphone on. We might ask you to share your screen, but don’t worry—we can help if you’re not sure how.

If you’re keen to take part, please reply to [email protected] and we’ll find a time that works for you."
