On October 29, the annual FASD-CAN Hui 2022 took place in West Auckland. There was a record number of participants – over 130 – including for the first time some rangatahi and young adults with FASD, who for the first time had their own programme of talks and also took part in the main event.
The day was a great success, with inspiring, informative and empowering presentations from our speakers. There were many excellent networking opportunities too, with some colleagues, whānau and friends meeting for the first time in person; and importantly of course, the food and the weather was great!
The recordings are now online. You can click here for the programme – the recordings are broken into parts and notated with start times for each speaker.
The Changemakers Zoom session
The day began with a live Zoom session with three member of the Adult Leadership Collaborative (ALC) of the FASD Changemakers – an international group of adults with FASD who want to change the way the world sees those affected by it.
The session was very inspiring for those watching! These women are smart, they are great talkers and they are determined to make their lives the best they can be.
Watch the video – it may change the way you think about those with FASD!
