Being part of a support group is proven to be very empowering for stressed caregivers – positive effects can include increasing emotional support, improving knowledge and reducing isolation. You can find out more about other benefits of joining a support group here.
We're always growing our locally-based kanohi ki te kanohi / face to face support groups, but we know that for many of our caregivers, an online group will be the easiest way to meet with others.
In 2026, our new Navigator in Te Waipounamu, Jacqui Mikkelson, will be leading our lunchtime group. She has a wealth of experience (learn more about Jacqui on this link) and will be a fantastic sounding-board for any queries or difficulties you may be experiencing.
