Being part of a support group is proven to be very empowering for stressed caregivers – positive effects can include increasing emotional support, improving knowledge and reducing isolation. You can find out more about other benefits of joining a support group here.
We're always growing our locally-based kanohi ki te kanohi / face to face support groups, but we know that for many of our caregivers, an online group will be the easiest way to meet with others.
In 2026, our Navigator in Te Tai Tokerau, RuruHana Brownie, will be leading our lunchtime group. She has a wealth of experience in both training and lived experience (learn more about RuruHana on this link) and has seen and heard it all!
This is our EVENING online group – every third Wednesday from 7.30pm-8.30pm.
You can join the group whenever you like, so sign up now for your Zoom link – you'll then receive email reminders straight to your inbox. We'd love to see you online!
Notes:
• You can cancel your membership at any time by emailing [email protected].
• Membership in the group is on a personal/individual basis – the ZOOM links you are sent for group meetings cannot be shared with other non-members.
• People share personal details and we must respect everyone's privacy at all times. By joining this group, you are agreeing that what happens in our caregiver groups, stays in our caregiver groups.
